I´ve noticed here in Salamanca that the people dress very fancy. The women are always dressed nice during the day and night. They do just as much walking as everybody else and still maintain their balance in heels. The Spaniards are always eating out in some restaurant. No matter what time of day you will never find a table empty. Also, they drink more than we do in America. The only thing that I don´t agree with is that they allow their children be around things I feel that children should see. Most children are in the bed around 7:00 pm or even 8:00 pm, but here there´s no limit, at least to me it seems that way. I think that people in Salamanca are not tough even when it comes to their children.
One of the worst experience I had here was that my alarm clock that I brought just wouldn´t work. Everyday I would set it and somehow that time would always be two hours behind. The first time that I set it I was almost late for school on the first day. Thanks to my host mother, she woke me up. So that same day, I went out to buy a little cheap watch. And again, the time just wouldn´t keep. I dealt with that for two more days until I felt that enough was enough. But before I could deal with the situation, my host mother let me use my alarm clock for school. It ´s one of those that just ticks aloud. It ticks so loud that at night I have to put a pillow over my head. But I won´t complain because it has helped me thus far.
